About Brookstown Wellness
The Journey
Brookstown Wellness was founded in 2015 by Ashley Holdren, lead therapist. Ashley established Brookstown Wellness with the intent to provide holistic, goal-driven and easily accessible care for her clients. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with her community, and teaching others the many options of maintaining their own health and wellness through bodywork.

The Mission
Ashley brings a wealth of experience in fitness and athletics, having actively pursued martial arts, gymnastics, CrossFit, weightlifting, swimming, obstacle course racing, and personal training. This diverse background gives her a unique understanding of her clients’ needs—far beyond what is typically found in a traditional spa or office setting. A dedicated lifelong learner, she has completed over 200 hours of continuing education since earning her license, constantly staying at the forefront of the latest research in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Now an NCBTMB Approved Continuing Education Provider, she is passionate about mentoring other therapists who aspire to build careers in sports medicine, just as she has.

The Movement
A 2013 injury left her in chronic pain, making exercise impossible. As a mother of two, maintaining her health and wellness was essential not only for herself but for her family's well-being. She discovered lasting relief through a local massage therapy program—one she would later enroll in and graduate from—where she found a holistic approach to healing. Without the need for medication, she quickly overcame her pain and gained the knowledge to care for her body long-term, allowing her to resume exercise and achieve her fitness goals.
The Steps
Fueled by motivation and the support of a strong community, Ashley has embarked on a mission to create a wellness center that offers more personalized care for each client. In June 2022, she proudly expanded Brookstown Wellness to 936 Burke. Ashley has assembled a team of skilled practitioners who specialize in therapeutic treatments to better serve the Triad. With a clear vision and extensive experience, she is steadily advancing the world of wellness and holistic health into the modern era, one step at a time.

The Practice
After graduating in 2015, she wasted no time in establishing her practice, bringing a diverse range of therapeutic modalities to clients across the Triad. Over the years, she has collaborated with numerous local fitness facilities, providing wellness counseling and specialized bodywork to thousands of members, along with their families and friends. Her holistic approach integrates therapeutic massage, in-depth assessments, deep tissue and sports massage, cupping, and full-body mobility stretching—allowing her to create personalized care plans that promote healing, recovery, and long-term wellness.
